I live in Portland, Oregon.

I'm not a professional photographer. I'm a dedicated amateur who likes to find the right times and places to get the best things in the viewfinder.

I've traveled throughout the United States over the past decade or so, with additional visits to Great Britain, France, Holland, Canada, Australia, and South Africa. Whenever I'm away from home, I spend some of my time hoping to capture a few memorable photos.

I've only owned one DSLR camera (a Nikon D3100), and it's getting a little beat up. However, a photographer's choice of camera doesn't matter very much, as long as it has a good sensor and is easy to use. A bag full of lenses would be nice to have, but I wouldn't want to carry it around. A load of gear doesn't replace research, a lot of walking or hiking, patience, and a bit of good luck.

I'm happy to offer use of my photos. Once I've edited a photo and uploaded it here, my work is done. If you would like to use a photo that you find here for one of your projects or publications, feel free.

You're welcome to drop me a line as well, at robert at wederquist dot com.
